EUSEBIUS LAΒ (Laboratory of History, Politics, Diplomacy and Geography of the Church)
The “EUSEBIUS LAB”, Laboratory of History, Politics, Diplomacy and Geography of the Church, was founded in 2016 to serve the educational and research needs in the following disciplines (or subjects): a) Sources of Ecclesiastical History b) Ecclesiastical History and Diplomacy. c) History and modern situation of the Slavic and other Orthodox Churches d) History of the Ancient Patriarchates e) History of Ancient and Byzantine Philosophy
The mission of the Laboratory is:
  1. Collaboration, of any kind, with research centers and institutes, academic and ecclesiastical institutions, academies, laboratories, museums, institutions, organizations as well as libraries at home and abroad, if the goals coincide, go hand in hand and complement each other.
2.The training of scientists in the cognitive subjects covered by the Laboratory and provided by Law. 3. Collaboration of any kind with research centers and academic institutions at home and abroad if the goals coincide, go hand in hand and complement each other with those of the Laboratory.
  1. The organization of scientific lectures, workshops, seminars, symposia, conferences and other scientific events, the realization of publications and publications and the invitation of Greek and foreign recognized scientists.
  2. The provision of services in accordance with the provisions of Government Gazette 53 / t. A ‘/ 27-4-1984: “Conditions for the provision of services by university laboratories to individuals and all legal organizations”.
  3. The preparation of reports and the provision of opinions (in courts, ecclesiastical bodies, etc.) on issues related to the disciplines of the Laboratory, in accordance with current legislation.
  4. The collection, processing, storage, and disposal of data.
  5. Undertaking consulting or development projects and studies to meet the needs of society.
  6. The publication of magazines.
  7. Scientific cooperation and research with Orthodox Churches, Holy Dioceses, Holy Monasteries and Parishes, with recognized Christian denominations and dogmas, as well as with other religions. In addition, cooperation with public bodies, local authorities, and the private sector, with NGOs, with civil non-profit companies, with social and scientific bodies and organizations of Greece and abroad, in matters concerning the objects of the Laboratory.
Members of the Department participate in the Laboratory, while professors from other Faculties collaborate, as well as young researchers. At the same time, it publishes an electronic journal, which publishes articles and studies by researchers from Greece and abroad. It also organizes conferences, seminars, and events. In the framework of his research activities, in collaboration with the Polytechnic Schools of “Metsovion” and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he collaborates in the research program “METEORA” in the framework of the Operational Program “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation”.
